Enet’s Ethernet solution provides scalable, affordable, end-to-end transport between the customer location and Carrier interconnect points or customer end-points.
Ethernet services are available for local and national handoff at 90 MANs and to a wide selection of Datacentres, using our high quality MPLS Backhaul infrastructure.
Enet offers a range of last-mile solutions from on-net MAN Fibre (Ring and Point-to-Point), Enet Wireless and off-net fibre services using our third-party carrier networks. See below for specific product options.
Carrier Ethernet
Carrier Ethernet solutions are available offering up to 10Gb symmetrical service using our on-net MAN Fibre (Ring and Point-to-Point), Enet Wireless and off-net fibre services (via our third-party carrier networks).
Metro point to point
An On-Net local solution is available using MAN Point-to-Point fibre
Asymmetrical Ethernet
Asymmetric Ethernet service is also available on point to point fibre in the Last Mile, as both a local and national solutions
Ethernet Third-Party Demarcation
Ethernet Third-Party Demarcation is an off-net product using a third-party provider’s last mile Fibre or Fibre-over-PON network. Up to 10Gb services are available with service demarcation at the port on the third-party provider’s NTU at the End-User site

Enet’s On-net MAN Ethernet service is available at over 90 urban centres throughout the country. It provides scalable, affordable, end-to-end transport from the customer location and a Carrier interconnect point.
Carrier Ethernet

MANs
Metropolitan Area Networks
Enet operates fibre optic infrastructure known as the Metropolitan Area Networks (MANs) on behalf of the Irish government. These networks are capable of delivering virtually unlimited bandwidth to 94 towns and cities throughout regional Ireland.
The MANs operate on an open-access basis meaning that all licenced carriers can have access. This model is contrary to traditional operators’ exclusivity of network and allows for competition in a way that has not previously happened.
