enet supporting Women in Networking with Donna Kennedy
In September, enet hosted a Women’s Network event in its Limerick HQ to inspire women to excel not only in their personal lives but also in their careers. Three-time bestselling author Donna Kennedy was invited to give the keynote address.
Following enet’s recent appointment of Siobhan Mullen, a woman engineer, as its 100th employee, it coincided with enet’s inaugural Women’s Network event. Donna Kennedy, a 3-time best-selling author, psychologist, business and life coach and a highly sought-after professional speaker was invited to address the well-attended morning session.
During her presentation, Donna spoke about the challenges women face in their lives trying to balance home life with the demands of their careers. Donna generously shared tips on how to make daily life less stressful and her anecdotes brought smiles to a very attentive audience. Those in attendance were inspired by her words which emphasised the need to stay true to themselves if they are to achieve their goals.
Michelle Ryan, enet HR Manager described the event as ‘a great opportunity to hear a truly inspiring individual and learn new ways to develop resilience and empowerment through personal and professional challenges’.
enet supports gender diversity and this year targeted a 40% improvement in hiring women which we have achieved already in 2017 indicating the company’s commitment to promoting women in technology. Further events are planned for enet’s Women Network which cements the company’s commitment to an equal opportunity employer.
